About LEVA FOUNDATION

We help people enter the economy — and stay there

LEVA Foundation is a South African organisation that helps people build skills, find work and earn an income. We don’t just help people get started; we make sure they can keep going.

Why we exist

Too many people are expected to find work or earn a living without ever being shown how to do it.

They leave school without clear direction.
They try to find work without understanding what’s expected.
They have potential but no clear path forward.

LEVA exists to change that.

What we do

We design practical programmes that help people move from learning into earning.

Across our work, people build real, usable skills, gain confidence, take steps into work or income, and grow over time

Our programmes work in real schools, workplaces and communities where conditions are not always ideal.

What makes LEVA different

We don’t run once-off projects.

01

We build work that keeps running after the first rollout

02

We build work that can grow without breaking

03

We build work that and continues to deliver results over time

This is what allows people to not just access opportunity but stay in it.

Our impact

LEVA’s work has already reached tens of thousands of people.

Tangible coding programmes used in schools without computers or internet

WORK 4 A LIVING preparing young people for real jobs

Red Band training and placing people into employment in hospitality

ReTrade helping people grow income through trading

Our work continues to expand across Africa and internationally.

How we work with others

We work with:

  • schools and educators
  • communities and local partners
  • corporates and funders
  • academic institutes

Together, we connect learning to real opportunity.

We also collaborate with partners like Amazon Web Services (AWS) to expand access to digital skills.
