What it does
Running successfully for over a decade, Red Band trains and places unemployed young people in paid barista roles.
Participants build practical coffee skills alongside the confidence and workplace habits employers expect.

Why it matters
Many people want to work but don’t have the experience or access to get hired. They get stuck in a loop: no experience, no job, no way to gain experience. Red Band breaks that loop. It gives people:
- real, practical training
- workplace experience
- and a direct route into employment

How this connects to work
This is where people move into jobs. For many, this is their first job.
Red Band helps participants:
- get hired into entry-level roles
- earn an income
- and build real work experience
Funding the future
Why this is worth funding
Red Band offers a direct route from training into paid work. The training is short and focused, the results are easy to track, and participants can start earning quickly.
What funding enables
Funding allows more people to be trained and placed in jobs, while building stronger links with employers and creating immediate opportunities to earn.
